What is Afternoon Tea?
Afternoon tea is a set menu which comes with tea and food. It consists of three courses of tea sandwiches or puffed pastry, scones with clotted cream and jam, and finally, the sweets.
The concept of afternoon tea was originated by a Duchess in England who wanted a small meal in the afternoon between lunch and dinner. This mid-afternoon meal was shared with her friends and was a moment of peaceful civility.
